Mexico is in the eye of foreign investment as a result of the buoyant progress that is present in the area of real estate; this fact has powerfully attracted the state and federal governments. They have encouraged potential buyers to purchase real estate, either foreign and/or national investors. This way they are facilitating the development of the region. A particular case is the southwestern coast which is located in part of the states of Nayarit and Jalisco.

In recent years the tourist population has been increased to three million visitors per year and it is expected to ascend the double within the next decade. Due to this, the Government of Nayarit, through National Fomento of Turismo (FONATUR), is elaborating plans for the infrastructure, mainly in areas like Higuera Blanca, Litibu and Sayulita.

Meanwhile, the Government of the State of Jalisco is supporting investors interested in the development of real estate in Costalegre; zone located between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo. This ambitious plan promotes the investment in equal parts of the private initiative and the Federal Government in the construction of an international Airport in Campo Acosta, planned to begin in this 2006. The land virtually virgin is opened to the development of great tourism where there are numerous archaeological zones like: La Rivera del Rio Tomatlan (The creek of the Tomatlan River), La Pintada (The Painted), Salinas la Bermeja (Saline the Bermeja), Estero El Chorro (Matting The Spurt) and el Gran Cajón de Peñas (the Great Box of Rocks). Jalisco and Nayarit project to give all the support to these tourists’ destinies. In the complementary phase they will look for the support from real estate; for which legalization of deeds have been promoted.
